Quick Scan Report – CHECKSUM on backups
When SQL Server writes out your backup, there is a option that can be used to include a checksum on every page written. This will help ensure that what was intended to be written to disk is what gets read from disk.
CHECKSUM backups can can be enabled with Trace Flag 3023, with a parameter on your backup command, or if you have SQL Server 2014 or newer you can use the “backup checksum default” option with sp_configure.
