One Time Use Queries Advisor

The one time use Query Advisor displays the query so that you can track it down and either parameterize it or determine why it is only use once.

You get to the One Time Use Query Advisor by clicking one of the queries shown on the One Time Use Queries Panel.

What is a One Time Use Query?

The One Time Use Query is a query that shows up in the plan cache which has only been used once, meaning that it it has been parsed and optimized, and saved to the plan cache, but never used a second time.   This can happen with queries needing to be parameterized, ad-hoc queries, or queries that just aren’t run very often.
